The state government today assured a bench of Justice PB Majmudar and Justice Prasanna
Varale that if proposal for air-conditioning the Bar-rooms at the court premises was received from the High Court administration, suitable measures will be taken at the earliest.
The assurance came up in a writ petition filed by the High Court Bar Association where government pleader Nitin Sambre informed the court, that in principle, a Committee has already decided in the year 2010 on setting up air conditioning facility in all benches of the high court.
With a view to expedite the process, the court has permitted addition of Registrar General, Bombay High Court and the Chief Engineer, PWD as respondents to the petition and also issued notice to these respondents for appearing before the court with their respective reply.
Advocate Sudhir Puranik appeared for the petitioner.
